My Top 10 Favorite Shows to Watch on Netflix

Updated: May 7, 2020

With school ending and being stuck in the house, I've had quite a lot of free-time on my hand. Here are 10 shows that I enjoy watching on Netflix!

1. The Crown

The Crown is a historical drama web television series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, created and principally written by Peter Morgan, and produced by Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television for Netflix

Currently there are 3 out of five seasons out. The fourth season is expected to air this year!

2. Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is a medical drama about a group of surgeons working at Seattle Grace Hospital. The show centers around Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and her life as a resident at the hospital.

I can binge watch this show everyday! Right now, there are 19 seasons and 363 episodes. You won't ever have to worry about having something to watch.

3. Never Have I Ever

The story centers around Devi Vishwakumar , a 15 year old Indian American high school girl from Sherman Oaks, California. After a horrible freshman year, Devi wants to change her social status, but friends, family, and feelings do not make it easy on her.

This is such a refreshing show! I'm sad that there are only 10 episodes but excited that there will be a season 2!

4. Riverdale

While navigating the troubled waters of romance, school and family, Archie and his gang become entangled in dark Riverdale mysteries.

5.Criminal Minds

An elite squad of FBI profilers analyzes the country's most-twisted criminal minds, anticipating the perpetrators' next moves before they can strike again

I've watched this show with my family since I was in elementary school. I loved guessing who the killer was before it had been revealed. Sadly, the final season of this show has aired. Criminal Minds has 15 seasons and 324 episodes.

6. The Originals

A family of power-hungry thousand year old vampires look to take back the city that they built and dominate all those who have done them wrong.

The Originals is a spin-off of Vampire Diaries. I can honestly say, I kind of love The Originals more than Vampire Diaries. I wish it would have lasted longer than Vampire Diaries.

7. Legacies

Legacies follows Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, who is descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch bloodlines. Two years after the events of The Originals, 17-year-old Hope attends the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. The school provides a haven where supernatural beings can learn to control their abilities and impulses.

If you are into vampires, werewolves, or witchcraft, this is the perfect show for you!

8. Reign

Reign is an American historical romantic drama television series following the early exploits of Mary, Queen of Scots.

Reign is filled with drama, romance, mystery, and action. Although the show is not historically accurate in many scenes, it encouraged me to research more about Mary, Queen of Scots and who she had been.

9. New Girl

After a bad break-up, Jess, an offbeat young woman, moves into an apartment loft with three single men. Although they find her behavior very unusual, the men support her - most of the time.

New Girl will always put a smile to your face! Whether you are having a bad day or want to watch something funny, Jess and her three roommates will always make you laugh.

10. Private Practice

Neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery escapes from a dysfunctional love triangle, leaving her friends and foes at Seattle Grace Hospital behind for a fresh start in Los Angeles, where she joins a trendy public clinic run by her recently divorced friends, Sam and Naomi Bennett.

Private Practice is a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy starring Addison Shepard/Montgomery. She was one of my favorite characters on Grey's Anatomy. I was devastated that she left the show but also excited that she starred in her own show related to Grey's Anatomy.
